I did leave 303 out, thanks for correcting that.  I was looking at some 
code which was written specifically to handle GET (not POST).  303 is a 
bit of a mess though, considering 302 is often treated like a 303 anyway 
(often making a 303 a strict version of 302? [in terms of how clients 
implement it]).  Last time I used the HTTPsend class though, it 
defaulted to protocol 1.0 though.

I'm sure some would argue that not handling relative URIs is still 
suicide in the real world, even for 1.1.  It's not always the server 
sending redirects - so there were always be the possibility of broken sites.
