Hi all,
In an effort to see if my questions have been asked elsewhere, I've struck a
serious problem within source forge.
Whenever I click on any archive link in the sourceforge archives for
Synapse, I never see the archived message(s) - instead, I just get "There
was an error processing your request : No Forum Chosen".
I have to admit, I REALLY dislike the whole SF site, despite trying to get
involved in a number of projects. For an example of the frustrating things
that happen, open to the Synapse SF main page, and try searching for any
term in the ONLY search box visible : you won't get any Synapse (or any
other project, for that matter) specific results. What a frustrating crock
SF is! And this is with me logged in as me! Guests get exactly the same lack
of results. Can you imagine what a new user looking for help in the archives
will do? They'll go somewhere else.
This is NOT a Synapse issue, it's a SF issue. I know Lukas is doing
everything he can to keep the SF page up to date!
Still, I guess SF is slightly better than nothing. But not very much.
We had better repository tools 20 years ago. I wish I had the
space/bandwidth to do some proper hosting of my own. But if wishes were
fishes...
If anyone can refer me to a real searchable and readable archive, I'd very
much appreciate it.
Cheers,
PCPete
