Message-id is defiend in RFC-2822 and no length limit here. However ID is one word and cannot be breaked into more lines. And because maximum length of MIME line is 1024 bytes... Good point is in RFC-4130, where is written: "Message-Id length is a maximum of 998 characters. For maximum backward compatibility, Message-Id length SHOULD be 255 characters or less." -- Lukas Gebauer. http://synapse.ararat.cz/ - Ararat Synapse - TCP/IP Lib. http://geoget.ararat.cz/ - Geocaching solution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ synalist-public mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/synalist-public
