It's worth calling out that:

* Devices will have differing data type capabilities (e.g., Fennec doesn't sync 
add-ons, prefs, etc., and add-ons can extend this set)
* Some devices will support services that others don't (e.g., perhaps I only 
have Pocket installed on my desktop Firefox), and of course we're aiming very 
much to support multiple services.

Those mean that even if the user experience we present is to simplify this 
decision for the user wherever possible (matching current Sync), the underlying 
model has to support more flexibility -- after all, "I don't want to sync prefs 
on this device" is a very small step from "I can't sync prefs on this device". 
We're planning for that.
