Its likely most people know this, just mentioning in case, but firefox os
calendar supports sync (3rd party), if I remember right it supports
exchange and possibly activesync

In terms of 'tasks', I think at that point we should probably be looking
towards sync as a webAPI as opposed to a service (ie an indexedDB with sync
that can be controlled at the app level)
