Hey Nick, hi Robin,

I saw the other day on dev-fxacc
https://github.com/callahad/selfhosted-sync which worked so far to setup
the Sync Server automatically. Is it right that I still need the Mozilla
Firefox Account Server and that there is at the time of writing no
solution to 'self host' the Account Server to build a autonomic
infrastructure?

Like Robin, I want to setup up a Firefox/Iceweasel sync and backup
solution on a local network, but for a far smaller group of users
(<1000), so I need no cloud scaling container solution. I would be fine
with things like Vagrant or other hyped container/cloud/mass management
projects, as long as it would be possible to use it. The documentation
of the setup procedure for sync server 1.1 or weave was well written and
worked for months without problems. Right at the time I cannot use the
sync feature, because with the current documentation and project status
I was not able to set it up in a so called self hosted way :(

I want to run a sync solution for a metropolitan wireless community
network which doesn't have an internet uplink all the time, so I would
be pleased to be able to setup the Account Server as well as the Sync
Server on our local hardware.

I'm looking forward to see the project grow. I would also like to help
with testing and giving feedback to improve documentation.

Best regards,
Bernd
