Hi i solved the bookmarks problem using third party software to pull all bookmarks from my main profile where all bookmarks resided in proper order (although places.sqlite must have been buggy due to crooked backup files and sync data), pushing everything back after disconnecting from sync and deleting places.sqlite and all backups inside bookmarkbackups. To sync other profiles/devices i set up a new sync account, and connect other profiles/devices after deleting places.sqlite and all backups inside bookmarkbackups here too.
I still get duplicate devices - instead of expected behaviour (when clicking 'manage account' in FF settings/Sync in a connected profile to get to the account settings immediately) i have to log in with my account credentials. A notification appears that sync is about to start. The device appears a second time in the devices list. This happens as often as i click 'manage account'.
