The desktop Sync team has an OKR this quarter to decide how to "fix" the Sync documentation - it's not that it's "broken", it's more that, in general, it doesn't exist (or if it does, it's spread out in various locations)

I've created a google doc where I'm fleshing out both the status quo and a strategy for the future - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gkOUnO8FrNH3mtWggByT4axtrNpgNFw2l8l6B2uEUk4/edit?usp=sharing

At this stage, the document tries to answer 2 questions:

* What documentation currently exists? Please let me know what stuff I've missed.

* What options do we have for the future? Please let me know what options I haven't considered.

What it doesn't yet answer is "what do we actually do in the future?" - I think we should get the framing above correct first. So it would be great to get feedback from everyone - feel free to add comments directly in the doc (which I think I've enabled correctly) or mail me directly.

While sync-dev is the obvious audience for this doc, I've also included dev-fxacct as I know they've been having similar discussions and we should learn what they've learned, and there are a few obvious places where sync's and fxa's documentation will want to cross-reference each other - so please share your current plans and pain-points.

Thanks!

Mark
