I agree that a separate client using Web Services would be a better
interface for reviewing, as the Web interface tends to slow things
down.  Gathering dust on my to-do list is experimenting with the Web
Services that are currently offered, along with a local installation
of the validator, to at least generate lists of feeds that can be
approved (or that need to be marked for repair in similar ways).  That
would allow me to streamline/minimize the actions performed direclty
through the Web interface.

Unfortunately, other than downloading Python so I can try running the
validator locally, I haven't made much progress on that project.  Too
many "real life" distractions!
