There are over 225,000 feeds that are in "awaiting approval" mode, and the approval process is based on volunteer effort. A quick analysis shows me that over 200,000 of those were added to the database before #400266, so while that feed may have been in there longer than some feeds, most pending feeds have been waiting quite a bit longer than it has, including a few of mine (356917, 312203, and 274472).
While this may seem frustrating to both feed owners and Reviewers, the current alternatives appear to lead to wiping out the value of the "stamp of Approval" which indicates a feed has very good odds of being useful to somebody (as opposed to being technically broken, spam, abandoned, etc.). The review process has been improved, and future improvements to streamline it will continue to improve the ability of Reviewers to tackle the pending queue. OTOH, it doesn't hurt to request (via this list) that a feed be approved "early" (compared to processing the queue chronologically or randomly). Assuming the feed is active and technically sound, that can considerably speed up the process for that feed. For example, feed #400266 was approved today, probably not a coincidence. :-) -- Stuart "Rattlesnake Stu" Whitmore ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://www.just-stuart.com/ On 8/2/05, a hay <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Why hasn't feed #400266 been approved yet?
