A couple things come to mind, one being the URL in the feed itself. The XML pointed to from that feed ID contains a site URL *without* the trailing forward slash. Browsers will often work around this situation but for something like a feed redirect link it would seem reasonable that you'd use the URL as shown in the feed. That said, it doesn't work properly even when omitting the trailing slash so I'm sure Jeff will look into it.
The data listed on the feed info pages is drawn from the feed's own XML. It's not manually typed or edited (ever). It's also not dynamically updated from the feed. This to avoid supporting search engine gaming. The links, title and description of a newsfeed should be considered something stable that doesn't change with any frequency. Should it need updating, however, the site allows editors to manually update it. So if a feed is out of sync with it's XML then ask an editor to look into it. Again, not the case with this feed however, just some background FYI. -Bill Kearney Jeff Barr wrote: > Hi Lee, > > I will look into this ASAP. > > Jeff; > > On Thu, 01 Sep 2005 15:56:10 -0000, "Lee John" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > said: > >>--- In [email protected], "Lee John" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >>>OK, once upon a time, the following URL (from Blogshares) worked: >>> >>>http://www.syndic8.com/link.php?URL=http://subtextwhore.co.uk/ >> >>Does the lack of reply mean there is no solution to the link.php? >>URL= problem, when the URL of a feed changes? >> >>This has been completely f***ing up my Blogshares experience for six >>weeks now, and the value of the blog in question is deflating >>rapidly because Syndic8 keeps telling Blogshares that this blog >>hasn't been updated since December 2004 (or rather that it doesn't >>exist).
