Hi Elaine,

That might be a basic question, but it's still a valid one! The blog
itself (as an HTML page or collection of such pages) can't be
syndicated directly, but Blogger.com creates an XML feed to match the
blog, and that XML feed is ready for syndication. (Well... there is a
caveat, I will get to that in a moment.) For a typical Blogger blog,
the XML feed will be Atom rather than RSS, and it is found at
/atom.xml. For example, the feed for my blog:

http://mycharslives.blogspot.com/

can be found at:

http://mycharslives.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Now for that caveat... The last I checked, the Atom feeds generated
by Blogger were still using Atom 0.3, which is now obsolete. If you
try to validate that XML feed through FeedValidator.org, it fails:
"This feed uses an obsolete namespace" This is a significant problem
for feeds in the Syndic8 database because they're not supposed to be
approved unless they pass validation.

One way to work around this hopefully-temporary problem would be to
use FeedBurner.com, which provides format conversions. However, this
is treating the symptom rather than the disease, so to speak. Also, I
generally see that site as a good tool for consumers rather than
publishers, given the nature of making a third party service part of
information delivery. If that third party fails, then the information
isn't being delivered. This seems to be a timely concern since this
morning I've had nothing but "service unavailable" errors from the
FeedBurner site! (Admittedly, since I'm not a regular user, this was
only after a couple attempts to access it, and maybe there was a
reason for the outage published in advance...)

Hope this helps,
