The data shown is pulled entirely from the feed itself.  There's no
online editing of the values that show up on the feedinfo page.  The
'editor' role is reserved for some special-case tweaks that come up
now and then.  

However, the data is not automatically reloaded.  This mainly to
curtail search engine gaming and other shenanigans.  The feed data can
be reloaded, by an editor.  Whenever a feed needs reloading just ask
on this list.

Yes, if the server's not configured right the feed gets served up in a
way that's not 'technically correct'.  Thus the validator calls it a
warning not an error.  This is one of those 'fiddly bits' that the
technical purists would like to see handled correctly.  Being one of
that ilk I also like to see it handled properly.  If you're using
apache and can set up an .htaccess file it's not that hard to do.  See
the validator's info page regarding that error.  Otherwise ignore the
warning unless you can ask you webserver operator to fix it.
