> How important is it that we wait for a MacOS maintainer/port?

It would be good to have a Mac OS version available, but its absence
shouldn't block the release.

> How often should we be releasing?

What is the cost of doing a release? If it can be mostly automated,
then why not release whenever we have significant new fixes and/or
features?

> What should be blockers for the next release?

I read somewhere (in your comment attached to bug 1568925) that 'make
dist' is currently broken. That's a blocker.

The IMAGE_DIR problem affects lots of people. That should be fixed
before the next release. (bug 1568925)

I'd like to see the Input Devices thing sorted too; It's initially
very off putting when you can't draw even a single circle. (bug
1677510)

I've seen a few comments that synfig on Windows is hard to install,
due to the 3 (or 4?) separate files which need installing. Can do we
something similar to the gaim folk do, and offer a single large
download (synfig + studio + gtk + gtkmm) for those folks who are
intimidated by installing these things separately?

There are still a few bugs which cause synfig to crash, but should
these be blockers? I think it's more important to get a new release
out than to have it be perfectly stable. Whatever we release will be
significantly better than what's currently available.

> Should we have an IRC meeting about the next release?

Aye.

Chris.
