Okay....so I reformatted the little SE's drive with Lido. Ran some Lido tests which it passed. Reinstalled everything and all looked hunky dory. But the moment of truth would be turning it on cold this morning...which I did...and got a flashing question mark! I booted off a 6.0.7 floppy and got no hard drive!!!
I ran Lido again which knew the drive was there, but when I clicked 'mount' the machine froze for a few seconds, then there was a loud buzzing noise and the screen kind of had bits of itself running up and down, and then it restarted itself! This was all rather exciting first thing in the morning, so I tried it again! And it did the same thing! I'm thinking the SE is desirous of a new hard drive!
