Patrick -

I sucessfully installed Maxima v2.0.3 on my IIfx/system 6.0.8 (I removed it
- makes System 6 as slow to boot as System 7). I would suggest trying
6.0.8, but as far as I know the only difference between 6.0.8 and 6.0.7 are
the printer drivers. Maybe it's the SE/30's dirty ROM?

If I have the time I'll crack open the SE/30, jam some more RAM in and try
installing Maxima.

Ian

P.S. Mode32 is a 32-bit addressing patch for 'dirty' ROM machines (use more
than 8MB running System 7). System 6 is 24-bit only.
