Yes, I've used Fa�ade, I believe that's its name, don't have it handy at the moment to check. As I recall, it has a list of alternate icons that you can assign; I think I used ResEdit to hack it to have just the icon I wanted, made several versions with an SE icon, a Classic icon, etc. Might have had to adjust the resource numbers somehow so they wouldn't all look the same when they were all in a folder. Anyway, it worked.
