If you are comparing Sys6 to 7.1, then yes I would agree. But if you compare 7.5.5 (with a decent amount of extensions and CP's), then it's more like 100% faster. System 6 was the last OS coded properly. Some will take issue with me on that, but there is a definite speed difference between assembly-coded software relative to that written in a high-level language like C. Regards, J.
