Sorry, we are better not changing the current, and possibly used link names. They are created that way since a long time and nobody knows who uses the current ones. Adding additional infrastructure to create more than one by-path link would be a new feature, which we will for various mentioned reasons not add to the current code, but which needs to happen in an external package, maintained/reviewed by someone with an enterprise-storage background and not live in the systemd code base.
