Alan, your comments show a good deal of ignorance and event bias here. "Muscle building" drugs are also beneficial to non-sprinters/throwers, as evidenced by racewalkers and distance runners getting nabbed for roids. And certain elite distance runners are rumored to have been heavily into HGH. It's unlikely that endurance building drugs such as EPO have any impact on the explosive events, so if anything, the aerobic events could be seen as having more avenues of illegal drug abuse open to them.
