I have count every occurrence of all athletes present on my website

and down below is a top-10 list for both men and women. Included in my
totals is
ancillary jumps/throws, splits, disqulifications, wind-aided marks,
indoor marks and of course regulary marks.
Men
1. Carl Lewis 367 occurrences
Not at all surprising that Carl Lewis tops this list. His regime was between
1981-1996 and included many events: 60m, 100m, 200m, Long jump and 4x100m
relay.
2= Jan Zelezny 262 occurrences
His dominant present in the javelin for the last 13 years is very
impressive. He has often throwed 5-6 throws in the same series
over the limit (85.00m) and thanks to that
consistent throwing he is so high that he is on equal
second place in this list.
2= Colin Jackson 262 occurrences
Most of his times is of course from 110m hurdles, but he has also some few
times in the 60m, 60m hurdles, 200m hurdles and 4x100m relay.
4. Yuriy Syedikh 204 occurrences
The dominant force in hammer throwing in the 80's. 204 recorded (at least)
throws over 80m is impressive.
5. Michael Johnson 202 occurrences
A little surprising to find Michael Johnson at low in place 5, but he has
been very restrictive in his number of races/year some seasons.
6. Frank Fredericks 201 occurrences
7. Larry Myricks 191 occurrences
8. Ulf Timmermann 190 occurrences
9. Sergey Bubka 180 occurrences
10. Werner G�nth�r 173 occurrences
Comment: The best middle/long distance runner is Moses Kiptanui in 36th
place with 107 occurrences

Women
1. Heike Drechsler 456 occurrences
A very clear number 1. Thanks to her many >7.00m long jumps
and her sprinting speed in the early 90's, Heike's total of 456 occurrences
is impressive.
2. Merlene Ottey 323 occurrences
Merlene Ottey long sprinting career is over 20 years and she
is still going strong!.
3. Stefka Kostadinova 255 occurrences
Stefka's is the outstanding high jumper (>=1.98m) is very
clear of the second placed jumper (Heike Henkel with 97 occurrences)
4. Mihaela Melinte 239 occurrences
Her place in my list is darkened by the news of her
doping qualification from earlier this year (pending hearing)
5. Petra Meier-Felke 229 occurrences
The best javelin thrower in my list.
6. Ilona Slupianek 207 occurrences
7. Marlies G�hr 197 occurrences
8. Gwen Torrence 180 occurrences
9. Stacy Dragila 165 occurrences
10. Irina Privalova 160 occurrences
Comment: The best middle/long distance runner is Sonia O'Sullivan 34th place
with 89 occurrences
Total number of occurrences for the women: 24380!
