Since it's a slow morning (no pun intended) on the list, let me push the
question one step farther. Could some computer geek out there explain the
process by which I often get replies to my posts before I get my own copies
of the posts? I assume that when a server somewhere gets overloaded,
messages are spooled and sent out when space becomes available, but how do
they get out of sequence? I don't think it happens at my end, because if I
send a message addressed to myself, to check column formatting, etc., it's
always available from the uvic server as quickly as I can switch from
"send" to "check mail.
Fur-ry mysterious.
