That happened to the top hurdler in Michigan 2 years ago. She was called to
pick up her medal in the 100 hurdles & when she reported for the 300 hurdles
was told the entries were closed. Now in the regional & state meets, all
non showing competitors are called before the event is closed just to make
sure the person or relay is running.
