Netters:
Kevin Dare's death is indeed a tragedy, a tragedy that could jhave
been averted long before he was born had the IAAF banned the flexible piole
as soon as it was invented. If you con't recall, only a few season ago,
three US HS athletes were killed in one year. I don not know what the total
is, but it is far too much.
The "new" poles have not only dstroyed the history of the event, but
too many lives as well. It isd now time to do something about it, but it
won't happen.
