Just to clarify. Carol's remarks were ignorant, not stupid.

Now, it may be subject to debate whether her ignorance on that point is a
matter of stupidity or just laziness (I often debate the same about some
allegedly stupid politicians). But exactly what was gained by the subject
header above?

I know it's fun, but please back off on blasting people with invectives,
particularly in the subject headers. Over the last few years, T&F has lost
a number of excellent, knowledgable track insiders who just got tired of
seeing themselves slammed in public (I don't believe Carol is a
list-member, but I could put together a list of the big-name posters who
have informed me off-channel over the last years that they were signing off
because they were tired of abusive posts).

It's good to have a forum where the average Joe with a moderate racing or
coaching career (eg, myself) , or even just any devout T&F fan, can voice
his or her opinion. Unfortunately, that victory is sort of pyhrric if the
tone is so strident or personal that it drives from the list a lot fo the
people we'd like to be talking to with our posts, or hearing the
experiences and opinions of.

Yes, there's a frustration in seeing someone being paid to do a job most of
us would love to have, and seemingly phoning it in, but the world just
works that way sometimes. And the louder and nastier criticism is, the
more likely it is to be ignored (unless there's a lot of money accompanying
it...)

Heard on the Millrose TV Broadcast during the Men's 4 x 400 - " Most of
these runners have trouble with the banked turns since they run at the
Armory Track which is flat."
Hey Carol, the Armory Track is Banked! Since the Nationals were there
last year. you might have noticed that!
