** This is the quasi-official and semi-temporary T13 email list server. ** hi all, I have a simple doubt on ATA/ATAPI. As per ATA spec before writing commands, there must be BSY=0 and DRDY=1. I have one doubt on this. 1) If BSY=0 is there a possibility of DRDY=0, if yes, under which condition? 2) if BSY=1 is there a possibility of DRDY=1, if yes under which condition ? Also there a "Device Fault" in status register. what does it means.
