Congratulations, you have found what may be the most common problem encountered by beginning/intermediate tablet weavers - how to get the dratted ram's horns working! :) We can probably get you straightened out, since we as a group have had lots of experience with wrong & right approaches, but a picture would be helpful. Sounds like you've made a good start to TW and have a grasp of the basics, this is just a tricky pattern...
