Yes, Judy Chapman, there are many ways of producing warp-twined textiles
without tablets. TTW, Chapter 17 describes and illustrates eight, namely,
Ply-Split Darning, Loop-Manipulation, using the Aya-Take-dai and the
Maru-Dai, finger manipulation of stretched threads, throwing warp over stiff
weft, using the "Triller" and industrial methods.

Reading last and first chapters of a book can be rewarding!,
