I think the "ajax flag" i mentioned earlier would throw away most of the waitUntilVisible / waitUntilTextPresent uses.
Something like:

waitForAjaxRequestEnd

related waitUntilTextPresent after it to make sure.

updating its DOM when we call waitUntilTextPresent)
