Hey Robin,

If the elevator has its own node/way (which is the way it should be), you can already use:

- https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:width
- https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:depth
- https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:est_width
- https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:entrance (for elevators that _are_ entrances)

In my opinion it's not a good idea to add these attributes to other objects than the elevator itself, as this kind of "extrinsic" data tends to gets out of sync with reality and is difficult to maintain. So if the elevator itself is missing, first add the elevator, then add the attributes mentioned above.

Here is an example of tagging of this sort: https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1979754258

Could you explain what you mean exactly by "elevator_button:wheelchair"? In A11yJSON, we have properties that define the min/max reachable grip height you need to control an elevator, as there often is a duplicated control panel at a lower height. Is this what you mean? In this case, I'd try to survey these measurements, as they are more objective than assuming what a wheelchair user can or can't do.

All the best,

Sebastian
