For the records, the xorg-resolution=1024x768 option seems to have been
accepted : at some point I could see a 4x3 ratio display instead of
16x9... but the X session weirdness seems to happen anyway. Maybe the
xorg-driver=... could be of some use too here.

Will post in case of more progress.
