hi,

Phil Schreurs:

Correct.

This feels wrong indeed.

> How can I force Tails to load a 64-bit kernel?

I'm forwarding this to our help desk. I think they'll ask you to
submit a complete bug report, that will include information about your
hardware, that will help understand what's going on. Please also tell
us how exactly you've installed Tails: some less-than-optimal
installation methods might break our 32-bit/64-bit auto-detection.

Cheers!
