I've heard something very similar from a Mac user recently. However, it's not possible that Tails overwrites anything on your hard disk, there is no installation routine that could do this. However, I can imagine is that the Mac OSX bootloader somehow does not know how to boot from the hard disk after booting Tails once. I do not own such a fruity computer and thus am not able to test this myself. Did you try booting in recovery mode (command + R)? Or, boot in Internet recovery mode (command + option + R), open "Disk Utility", and look for your SSD. Is it greyed out? Click on it, decrypt if needed, and try repairing it, without deleting your data. Happy that you managed to restore your data through another means. Cheers! u. _______________________________________________ tails-support mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
