I'm wanting to reopen this discussion. The context is long-distance walking tracks, and avoiding duplication of the relations covering them (as bits and pieces get added in different geographical areas).
I've found a very useful renderer at http://osm.lonvia.de/world_hiking.html The two routes I've started show here: http://osm.lonvia.de/world_hiking.html?zoom=10&lat=-35.08253&lon=149.03117 (I'm still playing with the osmc:symbol tag). The Heysen Trail in South Australia is the third major route showing. 124080 Heysen Trail 176684 Bicentennial National Trail 308594 Hume and Hovell Walking Track I've just set myself up with a login to the OSM wiki. Should I simply refer to the above relation IDs and names in the wiki under "Bush Walking and Cycling Tracks"?
