Actually I was wondering if that's what he meant after I replied, technically it should be easyish to code something if you know the route ID, you can do a complete dump of the OSM data including ways/nodes. >From there it just needs to be converted into something else, if GPX is ok, you could just take the nodes and use that to make a track I suppose.
