Hi, this might be old news, (as voting has passed) but it's worth mentioning. came up when discussing http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/CanVec:_Energy On the wiki for it, http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:man_made%3Dpipeline refers to "location" rather than "layer". So does this map feature render correctly if "layer" is NOT used? I would recommend having an additional tag of "layer" be used. But that's IMO.
