Thanks Frank :)

So everyone knows.. all though i dont understand the python details... i DO
know how to make the new canvec2osm script run on my windows computer. and
type in the tile area and let the script handle all the work. Frank took
time a few weeks ago and helped me get the conversion script to work, so i
can share the step-by-step instruction on-screen and using skype video chat.
:)

Like i mentioned on the Screen-cast earlier, we havent finalized decions on
just exactly what features to include/exclude as i mentioned about the one
way rivers, and the building nodes which i wasn't able to figure out.
However, a high % of all the features will be converted in 1 go... so all
256 tiles will be available from a server.

re: stats can roads

It's nice to have the road names, however the source file is not
geographically as accurate as the geobase road layout, so it made it
difficult to capture the road names from 1 set, and place into the PostGIS
database.
Fortunatly, in ontario, the roadnames are available.

You can see what the current status is here for the availablility.
http://www.geobase.ca/geobase/en/data/nrn/status.html

But like i said during the screen-cast, now that the canvec features are in
and the roads are in for Ottawa and lots of river data.. there is still
tonnes of work like paths/and benches and adding in stuff that makes OSM
unique :)

Thanks to those who joined in :)
Each time i screen-cast, it gets better :)

Cheers,
Sam
