Bonjour Sam, and Nathan,

Actually there is no such thing as default value in Canvec road network.

The data is provided to NRCan by each province/territory. The first house
number address value along a particular side (left or right) of a Road element
have the following values: [-1,0,1..n] where "0" is used when no value applies.
The value "-1" is used when the value is unknown.

I can have thoses addresses removed for the next release

Cheers,

Daniel

Hi,
You might want to ask the talk-ca list... instead of tagging list :)

It's the default value for CanVec when the data is not available.
Every 6 months, the source data (as Natural Resources Canada made .osm
files) gets updated.
So more provinces will have housenumbers, in time :) ... the 1st priority is
roadnames.

..... but alas, this is OSM, and it is possable to remove it.

Or is it?

Thanks,
Sam
