Is there an easy way (an application of some kind) that can be used
to transfer street name from Canvec street network/Karlsruhe schema
to name tag on existing road network.
This release of Canvec.osm in Quebec area has addressing/street
name, but manual transfer of street name on existing road network
takes up to 95% of uploading time.
Any ideas?

Michel's 1337 FME skillz? ;) (He used them for the original Geobase
import after all.) Or maybe this is a good occasion to charter some of
the Safe Software guys to help with improving OSM in their own
country. :)
