Ik bladerde net door Name_finder:Translations heen op de wiki, en zag daar "College (amenity=college) tertiary education, not university college" staan en vroeg me af hoe dat te vertalen.
De omschrijving op Tag:amenity=college: "This complements 'amenity=university', approved earlier. This was not included in the batch of items voted at that time because it didn't then have an icon. As the proposer (not me) indicated in the title, the intention is that amenity=university would be for institutions of higher education and amenity=college for further education. So Trinity College Cambridge or Baliol College Oxford would be amenity=university, but Cambridge Regional College would be amenity=college User:David.earl" De huidige omschrijving op de Nederlandse versie van map features is "Een collegecampus of gebouwen", waar niemand wat aan heeft denk ik... Op het moment lijken amenity=college's in Nederland o.a. gebruikt te worden voor ROC's en middelbare scholen die zich "college" of "lyceum" noemen. Dat laatste gebruik lijkt me duidelijk niet in de oorspronkelijke bedoeling passen, het gaat om "tertiary education" dus MBO en/of HBO (en beroeps- opleidingen?). MBO lijkt me ok, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat er mensen zijn die een hogeschool graag als "university" getagd zien, zoals ook toegestaan in internationale communicatie [1]. Ik heb dus bij mij in de buurt de ROC's omgetagd van school naar college, maar wat denken jullie van HBO- en beroepsopleidingen?
