Clifford, I really wanted to try and get down to see you last week. The challenge is that it would have been a four hour round trip at 65 to 75 mph. It is another two hours south to the border. Likewise, it is another four hours heading north to Page Arizona from Phoenix. You still have more travel time to get out of the state. The scale of the state and low density of mappers shows why many rural areas are in bad shape. I've seen the same problem in Wyoming and Montana. I've also seen the issue in eastern Kentucky. I wonder if the issue over there is the economic concerns. If you're just barely making ends meet, then leisure activities like mapping are the least of your concerns.
