That could come in handy in the future, but I don't think it will work
here.  The script is not downloading a NPR report, but is transmitting
spool files.  So there is no way for me to attach a macro.  Any other
ideas?

I am assuming you are at a Meditech Magic site.  What I do is bypass the
save as dialog.  I have attached a NPR report that uses macros to
automatically send the report to download.  This particular one uses the
same filename each time.  If you need to vary the filename you will have
to initialize a variable with date and time or some other random data.
