Ah forgot to mention a trick I like to use. You can create your own fields
that have the same behavior as Status - so for example, you may want to have
a field named D("ErrorCode"). This way if you wanted to run a report for all
records that had a Status of Error - you could also mark each record with an
ErrorCode.Be sure of course that these field names aren't the same as any in your actual file! Another use of this feature+ DataStation Reports is as simple way to create an Excel spreadsheet, Access Table, or flat file from data gathered by a script. Regards, Thom Thom C.
