I am too but before I had the same thing in two line view. When I downloaded
the 9.1 it stopped and I had to change to one line view

Usually the status of a message can be made to read by selecting the one
line view in View, Layout. This hasn't
changed, though, so maybe you are experiencing another problem. I am
getting the status of the messages read with
Window-eyes 9.1.0.0 so this isn't a universal problem with this version.
