I have a question, The dell keyboard came with a keyboard without a num lock, instead it has a key called "clear". If I remap this key for num lock. With num lock off will the other number keys have the same functions as a keyboard with a num lock, or would you have to remap all the keys? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chip Orange via Talk" <talk@lists.window-eyes.com> To: "'Rick Thomas'" <ofbgm...@mi.rr.com>; "'Window-Eyes Discussion List'" <talk@lists.window-eyes.com>

Hi Rick,

I think it was me who posted about a free program named "Key Tweak". I did
a quick google and found it at:
http://www.tucows.com/preview/327616/KeyTweak

I used it because I bought a laptop which advertised it had a full keyboard,
but it did not have an applications key, so I remapped some key on its
keyboard which I wasn't using to be the applications key (for context
menus). It was easy to use.

Yes, I could have used shift-F10, but this keyboard has all 12 function keys pushed together with many keys at each end, and it's time consuming to count
over to find F10.

In other cases, you might not have an alternative to the key you need, and
Key Tweak lets you pick a key and assign a key code to it.

Hth,

Chip

Hi: I remember a posting about a program that let one change the function of
keys on a keyboard but couldn't find it in my list of deleted items folder
in outlook under what I thought the subject line was.
If you posted the message, or remember the name of the program that allows
for changing keyboard functions for individual keystrokes could you post it
up again?
I did look at many, many messages in my outlook folder but just cant find
that message.
