Hi folks, I'll be direct in my views here for ther est ofy ou. 1. Hear is what makes AISquared/GW staff different from allt he other major corporations out there. One on one personal service. In the business that I have owned for a year, I also provide my clients personal support, and am on hand to help with whatever they might need from me. So if they don't know how something works, well there you go. I believe in the personal touch, it sets much apart when that is given. So while I use the free version of Window-Eyes and am on a fixed income like many ofy ou, I am going to save up as much as I need to so that I can ultimately invest in a full copy of Window-Eyes for several reasons. 1. I'll get all the voices I want. 2. I'd like the benefit of knowing that should I need help I'll get free unlimited support and the personal touch the staff bring to Window-Eyes. 3. Knowing that I won't necessarily need Office installed will be of help actualy, because the last thing I need is a screen reader dependent upon Micorosft Office itself. Sorry guys, but I don't install Office on all machines. There are times where I have needed ot use Window-Eyes in virtual machine environments for testing purposes, and every time I need do that, I fire up the 60 day evaluation for those times. Why? Because usually after I first set up a Windows machine, virutal or not, I don't have Office installed. And I'd prefer to have all voices just owrk out of hte box that Window-Eyes supports without buying them separately. I've come to see everything in my life, not as an expense, but as an investment. Investing in Window-Eyes over JAWS for my work life as it works with the ecommerce shop I own even though I work out of my home in a lot of cases would be an investment worth making to me, so I'm coming at you from the other end of the spectrum. I'm lucky that I haven't needed to pay for support because I can't presently aford the support costs that come with Window-Eyes For Office at all. I own a business I need to save up money to make investments in it from time to time, I need to save up money for this, that, and so on. So, ultimately having to pay for support is a large deal breaker. Requiring that Office be installed like I say is not at all funny to me, and ultimately, I'd just like to pay for the occasional SMA. I am sure AISquared makes paying for the SMA easy and quick. DO they make you sign a Braille form or something crazy then mail it back? Or can they just charge your card for you over the phone or online? Either way, I think maintaining an agreement with them is worth it. So there is my opinion especially regarding the personal touch. I'd appreciate knowing from you SMA users how easy it has been to pay for them when you've had to. Talk to you all soon!
