It has been my experience that size is not listed for folders in Windows Explorer. Is it possible you used another program for a while, say something like Xplorer? You can get folder info by opening the properties with the shortcut key of alt plus enter. The total size is listed along with the number of files and folders inside the folder in question.

At one time, I thought I could hear the size, or at least an approximate size,
of a folder spoken. Now, I get no size information even wqhen Size is checked
under the View menu. Have I remembered wrong or just forgotten something? I do
hear file sizes. I checked Folder Ooptions in Control Panel and didn’t see
anything that would directly relate to this.
