I can use the web apps in IE using WE 9.2, but the mouse keys are limited on the page. There are ticket numbers that I need to click on to bring up the ticket information. In IE11, I can move the cursor to the number, but cannot route the mouse pointer to it. The only way to activate any action is with a mouse click. I tried pressing enter and it does nothing. In Firefox, I can move the mouse to the top left (num pad + 7) and move down to find the number. In IE, when I move the mouse pointer to the top left, it goes into the IE header and gets stuck there. I have to route the pointer to the element (insert + numpad plus) which puts me back into the body of the page. Once in the body, the mouse will only read a small portion of the information. The cursor will move everywhere on the page.
I use several web apps and find earlier Firefox versions work better than IE. You'd have the mouse key functionality in IE and 9.2. I understand the security risks. However, I need to use the WE mouse for certain web apps. I have tried accessing my apps with the newest version of Firefox, but cannot access what I need to do my job without the mouse keys. Sure I can't use the numeric keypad to move the mouse around in fire fox but I can do everything else by using the keyboard, and the most important part is that they revise their security in each upgrade. hth Rick On 10/8/2015 3:07 PM, net bat via Talk wrote: > your doing yourself a disservice by not updateing. > you are leaveing yourself wide opened to hack attacks because the only > way you are going to get any security updates is to upgrade firefox > when it comes out. > > -----Original Message----- From: Ayers, David (ITCS) via Talk > Sent: Thursday, October 08, 2015 12:39 PM > To: Window-Eyes Discussion List (talk@lists.window-eyes.com) > Subject: Firefox Automatically Updating again > > Hello, > > I had Firefox 30.0 installed for quite a while now without any updates. > Yesterday, I re-booted my computer andFirefox updated to version 41.0. > I un-installed 41.0 and re-installed 30.0.
