I want to thank everyone for their help on this. I have come to the conclusion that while the program could be much more functional, you all can navigate the library, menus, and books. I understand that book reading could be much better. I used the link that Michael gave me to download the program with the accessible plugin. I think I have used it before. It doesn't seem to matter whether I download the standard version or the one with the plugin, I cannot read anything with Window-Eyes 9.2. Maybe my installation ofWindow-Eyes is flawed because I am not getting any functionality at all. I have gone through the process of installation, uninstallation and reinstallation of the kindle program many times without success. Do I* need to take additional steps in order to have a clean installation of the Kindle program? While I'm on the subject, have any of you tried the new Voice View that Amazon also advertises on their site?

I couldn't find the accessible Kindle app on the site.

Peace.

Has anyone on this list gotten the accessible Kindle for PC program to work at all? When I open the program, nothing is displayed. The only thing the mouse sees is Register Kindle”. The Alt key produces nothing; arrow keys don’t work. With a few lucky key presses, I can sometimes get the minue items to read with Control_Numpad5. Occasionally, I get some library items to display, but I can do nothing with them. Not to mention the fact that I can’t get my PC registered. To make matters worse, I couldn’t understand the Amazon rep because of her accent and was unable to do what she was asking.
