Curtis, Do these values refer to the VirtualView OCR tutorial or another resource? Also, based on your experience what would be the appropriate dB values for a digital podcast? I don't claim to be an audio engineer and the materials I have been reading recommend using the loudness unit or LUF to ensure consistent audio levels. Specifically, I have read that a LUF value of -16 to -23 to be the recommended range. Thanks, Marc

But based on your feedback and feedback from other, I have been paying specific attention to this detail in recent recordings. For example, the audio levels in the VirtualView OCR tutorial seem to be quite adequate to my ears when using 50 percent of the system volume and 50 percent of my media player volume. I assume that users who need it louder can then increase the volume level in their media player and in Windows to reach an acceptable volume level. So, can you please let me know if the most recent tutorial has an adequate volume level once you make the volume adjustments on your system? If so, I will try to match the audio levels in future recordings.
